My name is Claire Popham and I am a fully qualified Complementary Therapist. My interest in Complementary Therapies started over 12 years ago after visiting a Reflexologist for a serious digestive disorder. After just one session I could not believe how relaxed and calm I felt and within days my stomach disorder had eased. I continued treatment for several weeks, in which time my health improved and I was able to lead a better quality of life.
I studied at St. Mary’s University in Twickenham, London and qualified in Anatomy and Physiology and Holistic Massage in May 2004. I then went on to study Reflexology, Hot Stone Therapy, Pregnancy Massage, Deep Tissue Massage and Indian Head Massage. I continue to develop my skills with additional training courses each year.
The Lily Room is coming into its seventh year and I see my clients on a one to one bases in my tranquil and relaxing therapy room. As a complementary therapist I treat the whole person and not just the underlying condition.
My philosophy is that beauty comes from within and if you feel good about yourself on the inside you will glow on the outside. We all lead extremely stressful and busy lives and it is important to put aside an hour or two for ourselves as often as possible.
I am a full member of The International Guild of Professional Practitioners and Embody Registered, who require members to be fully insured and abide by their strict code of conduct. I am also a member of The Federation of Holistic Therapists.
